BFA- Art Walls
Growing up in Cleveland, Ohio, Ashlee was deeply influenced by a rich blend of music, African American history, and African culture. These early experiences sparked a passion for the arts that began at thirteen when she was first introduced to various art forms, eventually leading her to study oil painting in advanced courses.
After relocating to Florida, Ashlee continued to pursue her artistic vision, exploring Afro-surrealism as a means of expressing the complexities of the Black experience. Her work blends abstract forms, vibrant colors, and cultural symbolism, delving into themes of identity, healing, and empowerment. Ashlee’s goal is to create art that serves as a collective tool for therapeutic healing, inviting viewers to connect with and reflect on the diverse narratives that shape our shared existence.
