Behind-the-scenes

Have you been seeing the ads floating around social media for our upcoming theatrical production at Broward Center? Work of HeART is the latest installation of The Happening: A Theatrical Mixtape. This time around, two member of our collective, who are also staff members, took on the role of co-writers. JaShae Jones and Denzel McCausland have joined forces with Darius V. Daughtry to tell this story.

Check out some behind-the-scenes photos from the advertising taken at Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

"There is an Artist in us all, and Work of HeART  takes audiences on a journey of discovery and destiny as we follow four aspiring artists as they navigate fear, grief and self-doubt. A powerful, multidisciplinary performance created through a collaborative process with members of Art Prevails Project, Work of HeArt blends storytelling through music, poetry and dance, while exploring the transformative and healing power of artistic expression. Honest and uplifting, Work of HeART reveals how creativity becomes a pathway to resilience, connection, and freedom. Rooted in love, compassion, and empathy, the performance affirms art as both refuge and release—reminding us that expression has the power to heal individuals and strengthen community.
